NFS 2015: Online Connection required

Need for Speed 2015 will require an online connection, according to a

tweet from the official Need for Speed account.
A reason for that is to "allow your friends to be part of your narrative experience, something only possible through connected play."
This includes both multi- and singleplayer.

There is not much information about the game yet, but more details are to come.
